The Ecological and the Non-Recyclable Metals

There are many metals used in the manufacturing of household items and industrial machines.  Some of them are, but others are not. It implies a great deal of responsibility for the shoulders of the manufacturers and scrap suppliers. Metals that are recyclable can go directly into the process, but it is not so simple with the other non-recyclable type.

Machinery Manufacturers

Stainless Steel Scrap

Today the need to use environment friendly material is higher than ever. This makes the stainless steel best choice because it is 100% recyclable. Not only recyclable its raw material is valuable, and it has a good life. It is very rare for a stainless steel object to go wasted. Mostly it goes to the stainless steel scrap suppliers. It is then recycled and go back to the production process.

The process of steelmaking demands scrap. There are two types of scrap; reclaimed and industrial scrap. Reclaimed scrap is the household items or machinery that is beyond its usable life whereas; industrial scrap is return or product off-cuts from manufacturing. Mostly, the stainless steel contains almost 60% recycled material.

The recycling industry is heavily dependent on the Stainless steel scrap suppliers to perform understandably, but others like industrial engineering and fabrication sources also need them to get rid of all the extra scrap from piling up. The life of stainless steel products is long, so naturally, the recyclers thrive on the products manufactured decades ago.

However, it may sound like a simple process, but sophisticated technology is required to carry it out. The scrap is fed to a giant shredder where it is broke down into small pieces. Then it is analysed chemically before sorting by the type. Sometimes it is blended with other alloys as well.

The Problem With Lead

Lead ingot manufacturing is another profitable venture although lead is not considered as environment safe, it is used in many essential items like car batteries. Lead ingots manufacturers are well aware of the fact that it is prohibited in several parts of the world to dump lead in the landfills. All the by-product and off-cut need to be disposed of correctly.

Even if it is disposed of in the water lead ingots manufacturers has to make sure that it meets the local water regulations. Mostly the products that are recyclable work due to the electrochemical reactions between lead and acid. As mentioned these products are recycled widely it becomes the responsibility of the recycler to restrict lead from going to the landfills.
